Warriors vs. Pelicans Game 2: Prediction, Odds With Stephen Curry Likely Returning, NBA Playoffs 2018: Watch Pelicans vs. Warriors Game 2, series schedule, TV channel, online stream.
Warriors guard Stephen Curry (MCL sprain) is listed as probable for Game 2 of the Western Conference semifinals against the New Orleans Pelicans, according to Warriors coach Steve Kerr.“I’d be very surprised if he didn’t play [Game2],” Kerr said following Monday’s practice. While most of the team took Sunday off, Curry participated in a scrimmage with players who have played low minutes in the playoffs. Players in the scrimmage included Jordan Bell, Quinn Cook, JaVale McGee and Zaza Pachulia, according to a source.
Barring a setback, Stephen Curry should return to the court for Golden State. Head coach Steve Kerr has said he expects the point guard to be recovered from the Grade 2 MCL sprain that’s kept him out of action since March 23, and there will be no minutes restriction placed on Curry.
Curry has been out for more than five weeks. Golden State struggled down the stretch of the regular season without the two-time MVP, failing to get the Western Conference’s No.1 seed for the first time in the last four years. Curry missed 31 total regular-season games because of multiple leg injuries.
Well, that was an interesting first game. The Warriors blew the doors off the Pelicans, but New Orleans coach Alvin Gentry says he’s not going to make drastic changes for Game 2. Golden State will have a big change, however, as two-time MVP Stephen Curry is expected to rejoin the lineup after recovering from a knee injury.
